My Grandfather John Frank Corr of Legaginney House, Legaginney, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan was interned at Portumna Jail during 1922/1923. He was arrested on the 30th November 1922, was orignally sent to Athlone then to Kilmainham before arriving in Portumna where he was internned until the 21st December 1923. Are there any records available or could anyone help me with any information. I live in the UK but am frequently in Ireland and would appreciate any help if any is available.

Hi Lorna,
The folks on the Facebook page tell me that the library might have a copy of the local papers from that time on microfilm.
