I know their first child William John was born Ireland 1839 the second Mary Jane born 1841 Durham, England. Soif there is anything that can help me go back on this side of my family line would be appreicated

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked Roots Ireland butr could not locate the marriage record. I did find the 1839 baptismal record.for William in the Tandragee Presbyterian church. Roots has records for Tandragee starting in 1835 so likely the marriage was in a different church where the records are not on Roots Ireland. Civil registration for non-RC marriages did not start until 1845.

I have visited the Kilbannon parish, where he was baptized and where his family is said to have worshipped. Based on the information I have, I believe he arrived in the USA in 1897.
