My great-great-grandfather Alexander Gilmer was born in County Armagh Sep 7, 1829. He came to the US and was a successful businessman in East Texas. https://tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/fgi30

I am looking for information on his parents, Jane McMullin (d. 1835) and George Gilmer (1788- Jan 10,1832), and grandparents, as well as his brother John (b. 1820) who emigrated to the US, and cousin Eliezer Gilmer (1845-1919) who wrote letters to Alexander Gilmer from Liscalgot House, Crossmaglen. https://www.flickr.com/photos/smreilly/14386012797
He was raised by a grandmother, but I don't know which one (I'm not sure if it's possible to find out). I would also like to know more about Liscalgot House, I found a little information online. http://www.thesilverbowl.com/maps/Liscalgot.html
I would like to know where any of the family are buried as well. Thank you!

Dear Susannah
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I had a look on rootsireland.ie but couldn't see a baptism for Alexander or any other children born to George and Jane. Neither could I see a marriage record for the couple. I fear that they may have been born in a parish and at a time that predates the parish records. Presbyterian records for Creggan begin in 1835 and RC records somewhat earlier with many, many gaps.
There is a George 'Gilmore' listed on the 1796 Flax Growers List, something to consider:

Rootsireland does list a civil death record for a George Gilmer in the Parish of Keady on 17th Jan 1868 where the informant was Thomas McWilliams. I wonder how this fits in (if at all)? There is no other George Gilmer death listed except for the late 1830s (none that fit 1835). There is no death record for Jane in 1832.
You can see from the link below that there are not very many Gilmer households in the 19th Century;

There is some info from an old ancestry.com thread in 2008 here that might fill in some gaps:

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Liscalgot House and there doesn't seem to be much wirtten about it, aside from the link you provided above. This is all I could locate:
