Can you clarify your note? The census record shows a Jeremiah Dermody as head of household with a year of birth around 1850. You mention a Patrick born 1841. How is Patrick related to Jeremiah?

Roger: Thank you for your reply. As I'm sure with many records, there is a lot of discrepancy between sources. I am continuing to research. Even in the census information, Jeremiah is 50 yeas old in 1901 and 80 years old in 1911! I will post other inquiries if I need to. I hope the Ballycallan parish joins your program.

I am researching the MARNELLs in Pollagh through Catherine MARNELL who was the sister of the Honor MARNELL above. The DERMODYs / DARMODYs were in Pollagh and the adjoining townland of Kilbraghan.
