Looking for information on the family of Arthur McCann/McKane and wife Mary Margaret Maxwell. My Great grandmother Margaret McCann/McKane was one of their daughters who emigrated to NYC, NY, USA around 1890. Arthur was her brother. Her sisters were Jane, Catherine, Charlotte.

I searched Roots Ireland from 1855-1875 in Co. Down for a Margaret McCann baptismal record. There were 14 records but none had a father named Arthur and none of the baptisms was in the Magherlin RC church which corresponds to Moira civil parish. There were five baptisms in that period with a father named Arthur McCann but none of the names correspond to the names you have in your message
