I am looking for information about my great grand parents Patrick and Catherine Regan (Conry). They may have come to America in 1884-1886 settling finally in East Greenwich Rhode Island. I am also looking for birth records of my grandmother Catherine Therese. I have Baptism records for her siblings (Thomas, Mary and Patrick) born Before her but nothing on her. She said she came to America as a baby.
I have my Great Grandparents wedding certificate. They were married July 6th, 1871. Witness last names were Spellman and Hopkins.
I am wondering if I still have cousins in Boyle. We passed throug about 10 years ago and went by the cemetary but had no time to look around any further. I hope to revisit as soon as possible, maybe in the next year.
I would appreciate any info anyone can provide.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Here is the link to the online Irish phonebook which would not include cell phone users.http://www.eirphonebook.ie/# Make sure you use the Resdiential Tab. The are a number of Regans near Boyle. Our privacy rules prevent us from sharing the info directly.
I looked at the civil birth index records and there is an 1883 birth in the Boyle registration district but I checked on Roots and it was a different family. I would surmise that she may have been born in the USA. Have you found her in the 1900 census and does it show Ireland?
Can't tell if you have the church marriage record or the civil marriage record. The civil record indicates that both parties lived in Wood. There is no Wood in Roscommon but maybe it was Woodfield in Ardcarn parish near Boyle. Patrick was 26 and his father was James. Catherine was 21 and her father was Patrick.

Carol,
I thought I had found the family in the 1900 in East Greenwich Village but Patrick gave his age as 45 and he was 28 years married which means he was married at 17 - I think there is a possibility that a mistake was made and he was actually 55 in 1900.
The census shows Catherine (daughter) born in Rhode Island in 1885 yet it shows the family arriving in the US in 1886 - another error??
I looked up the 1990 census on findmypast so no point in sending you the link as it wouldn't open for you but note that the surname was transcribed as below.

Other issue - if you have the marriage certificate there should be a townsland on it and you could see if there were Regans there in 1901 and 1911. Any issue with that you can email me at jimvaughan@eircom.net
