Reynolds--Flinn connection.

I am answering this as no one else appears to have but I have no magic wand. I understand that there was a lot of trade between Waterford and the East Coast of Canada around the end of the 1700s and beyond. See here about Newfoundland

Now my reasoning is it is most likely the family came from near Waterford and possibly Clonmel, Tipperary. In the Tithe Applottments there are 9 Reynolds in Tipperary and one in St Marys Clonmel, a Domk I assume Dominic Reynolds. Also in this search there are 91 Flinns in Tipperary and about 4 in St Marys Clonmel. This parish has some records of baptisms going back to 1790 but not complete and a difficult read. I searched for his birth on Ancestry 1805 plus or minus 10 years and got a lot of James Flinn's in Ireland but none in Clonmel to support my theory but read the first link and see if you can agree with my logic.

If yoou think you have more info like family names that might help, Dominic is not the most common of names, also if you searched Reynolds and are looking for Flinn what is the connection.
