Hi,
Does anyone know what other cemeteries are in the Drumcliffe area? My great great grandfather was Bartley (Bartholomew) Jinks. He shared a farm with his brother, Patrick in Drumcliffe North according to the Griffith's Valuation. I found Patrick and his family buried in the Drumcliffe churchyard but not my great great grandparents. My great great grandmother was Anne Higgins Jinks. Bartley died in 1888 and Anna died in 1894. Their son William took over the farm when they both passed away.
I'm planning a trip to Ireland in October and was hoping to lay some flowers on their graves.
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I assume your ancestors were Church of Ireland? There is a Find a Grave site for Drumcliff C of I cemetery which has Jinks records but not your great-great grandparents http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSiman=1&GScid=639642…;
This the cemetery where William Butler Yeats is buried.
I would send an e-mail to St. Columba's in Drumcliff http://drumcliffechurch.ie/?page_id=554 and see if they can help out.

Roger,
There's a question mark over whether the body in the grave is W. B. Yeats'. There is some evidence that they got 2 bodies mixed up and that a french dentist is in the grave. How that would make Yeats laugh!. See:

Hi Roger,
Actually they were Catholic. His brother and his family are the Jinks buried in the Drumcliffe churchyard.
Thanks!
