Hello,
I am currently doing research into my family tree in Ireland. I wonder if anyone can help me as regards some relatives I am tring to find out information on.
My Grandmother was named Annie Nimley Quinn. she was born Tyrone on 16/4/23. She had brothers Jimmy (16/4/21 - 12 Jan 1998) Francis and Joe. Joe is well known in the area as he was a fisherman on Lough Neagh. He was born on 30/4/1929. He passed away 31/12/09. she also has a sister Sarah who still lives in the area who was married to another Fisherman Tommy John Conlan (1923-2006) and a sister from mothers first marriage, Elizabeth Bell (1915-25/4/08). Their mother was Mary Quinn (1886-2/10/65) who lived in Kinturk, Coagh. She had two husbands James Quinn who she married after the death of her first husband who had the surname Bell.
If anyone could provide any information on any of the above our ancestry prior or could help me as regards Mary's maiden name I would be indebted to you.
Thanks
Barry

Barry, here is a link to the best resource there is in around the ardboe/Coagh area
https://www.facebook.com/ArdboeTyrone/photos/ms.c.eJyztDQzNTY2sjAwtjAyN…
It is called Ardboe gallery and can be found with a google search. The link has a picture of Joe Quinn (Nimley) and the comments alongside with the surname Quinn and Skelly are children of Joe. If you contact them and Ardboe Gallery through Facebook you will find out everything you need to know.

I had a look for a marriage between James Quinn and Mary Bell 1915 – 1920 but could not find one. Nearest was a James Quinn who married Patricia Bell in Newry 29.4.1919. I also looked for the birth of an Elizabeth Bell in 1915. The only one in the Cookstown area had parents Robert Bell and Alice Smith, so not your lady.
So have drawn a blank there I am afraid.
Here’s the only James Quinn I could find in the area, of the right sort of age who was a fisherman. He was in Anneter Beg which, as I expect you know, is the next townland south of Kanturk.

(If you are looking for his birth cert, note that he was shown as born in Scotland. Presumably if correct, his parents lived there for a while). James was 22 in 1911. Does that fit with the age on his death cert?
Same family in 1901:

(James is shown as born in Tyrone in this census).
