Hi,
I am currently trying to reserch my family tree. Unfortunately it is very hard to gain any information at all about the Irish side of my family. My Grandfather was named Patrick Keogh who was born 9/12/11. He had an older sister Mary Bridgette and a younger brother William and younger sisters Margaret and Dodie. I apparently still have family in Kilnaleck, Frank Keogh and Malachie Keogh I believe still live there.
From the small amount of info I have gained, Their parents were Edward Keogh 1874/1960 and Esther Galligan 1876/67. Edwards parents were Patrick Keogh 1848/1928 and Bridget Galligan 1849/1925.
Can anybody advise me how i could research further back. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am stumped.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Here is the link to the Crosserlough RC parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0826 Records start in 1843 so maybe you can find the baptismal records for Patrick Keogh and Bridget Galligan which would should show their parents names.
Here is the link for the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Crosserlough civil parish.

Hi,
Thanks so much Roger. I'll have a go and see what I can find out.

Hi Roger, I have descended from Owen Keogh and Mary Galligan, who were also from the Crosserlough parish. I went to the geneology centre in Cavan County, and found that all the Galligans were from one township originally. I will include a link to our Canadian tree. The site mentions dna tests for the Keogh clan too.
