My wife's ancestors were Simon Scahill born in Tullamore in abt 1788 and Bridget Delahaunty, born in Tullamore in about 1789.
I know that they were married in about 1829 in Killbeggan, Co Westmeath, where they are both burried and the majority of the children born.
The children, or at least all that I know of, emigrated to Australia.
I am particularly interested in any information about this couple.

Unfortunately the baptism records do not go back far enough to find parents and siblings, but I believe I found Simon in the Griffiths valuation of Ireland living at the address Main Street Lower Kilbeggan in county West Meath

Thanks, I found the same entry also a Lawrence Delahaunty with the same address and a Matthew Delahaunty in Commissary Lane, but unfortunately it doesn't get me any further forward in my research or knowing why all five of Simon & Bridget's children emigrated to Australia.
