I just located some passenger records to Australia August 1841 (Burhampooter) listing 3 women, 1 of whom I know was my great-grandmother. They were millners and dressmakers and I have verification of this.
Listed on the record for all 3 are parents William and Hannah (Moore) Jennings. City of record: Dublin.
William is listed as a bookkeeper.
Intriguingly enough I did find a directory in 1820 listing A.B. Jennings as a Millner/Dressmaker at 22 Suffolk Street, Dublin. I am positive they must be related as well.
I would love to find out more about William and Hannah but have been unable to locate other records. Also, is A.B. Jennings his mother or father? I'm guessing if this is true then my great-grandad's claim to a Barotnecy through his mother's brother was just one of those family stories.
Thank you.

Hello Carol, welcome to Ireland XO. Church records for Dublin are available online free here http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/ I was unable to locate a marriage for William Jennings and Mary Moore, there is an 1802 marriage for a William but not to a Moore.
Suffolk Street si now a very busy street in the heart of Dublins shopping district off Grafton Street, across the road from Trinity College. So assuming it was always a good area to locate. I see all the records are Prstestant, Church of Ireland or Anglican.
Their centre for queries is here http://ireland.anglican.org/information/63
There is a large funeral business by the name of Jennings in Dublin, not on Suffolk street though.
Also see here where a number of Jennings are listed http://thepeerage.com/index.htm
The National Library are here but I think you would have to visit. http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
