Welcome to As We Used To Be, an exhibition for Heritage Week 2016 that remembers the way Irish people used to live. The theme of this year's Heritage Week was 'One Hundred Years of Heritage' and Ireland XO has provided a number of images here that reflect how life used to be lived and how it has changed. The main images include the Irish dresser, old schoolhouse and the Irish hearth and provide the context around which this exhibition is produced. We welcome comments and stories about your memories as well as your own images so that a small online archive can be created.
If you would like to tell us about your ancestor why not add their details to our XO Chronicles where you can contribute information about people, buildings and events in any parish.
