Bridie was the oldest daughter of Jim Donoghue and Mary Sullivan(Gabha) Ballynabloun, St. Finan's Bay, Co Kerry.
She attended THE GLEN School from 1913 -1923.She was an excellent pupil while at school and gifted at knitting and crochet,She was also a nice singer.In 1930 she and cousin Bridie Curran emigrated to Belmont, Mass, U.S.A. to stay with their uncle Michael J. Donoghue.She worked 35 years for the same employer as a domestic.She came home to Ireland in 1946, 1961, 1975 and a few more times.She died 3 months before her 94th bithday and is buried
in Cambridge Cemetery, Middflesex, Mass, She has a Celtic Cross as her headstone.
