Hi! I'm researching the Byrne family from Newstone in Drumcondra. Thomas (1834-1908) was a blacksmith and farmer. His wife Judith Donnelly Byrne (1840-1883). They had 7 children including my G-Grandmother. I'm interested in knowing more about the area where they lived and potentially when they arrived there. Is anyone else researching this family?

I'm not researching the family but I did locate the 1901 census record and it shows that Thomas was born in the neighboring county of Louth. I was not able to find a marriage record. I did find the death record for Thomas. He died April 17, 1908 but it was not registered until February 1909.

Thanks, Roger! That was definitely an overlooked clue in the 1901 census. I'll look for birth records in Louth. Do you know if that still would have been recorded in Ardee?
I have located the marriage record from the NLI Catholic Parish Register (27-Jan-1858) and I have his and Judith's civil death record. Do you know where I might locate photos of Newstone from 1860s-1920s? I'm pretty sure my grandmother spent some of her early years there raised by her uncle, so I'm interested in learning more about it.

You may know this but Drumcondra parish is in north Meath on the border with Louth so possibly, Thomas was born in a parish right across the border. The Ardee registration district does cover a good number of western and central parishes in Louth. I would check the records of the Ardee RC parish for the baptismal record for Thomas possibly he was from that parish.
Newstone is a 721 acre townland. Not sure if there will be pictures. I would contact the Co. Meath branch library in Nobber and see if they can point you to a site or books that might cover Drumcondra and Newstone.
