Michael McINERNEY and his wife, Susan (nee KELLY) lived there whole lives in this two room cottage. They were married in 1902
They had 12 children in all - 3 died when they were small, 3 left for England, 3 went to the USA and 3 stayed in Ireland.
The cottage was not connected to electricity until the 1970s so light was from oil lamps, cooking was in a cauldron on the hearth.. Even now, to get fresh water, you need to take a bucket to a nearby spring, and pots under the bed provided the nearest thing to a toilet.
