Looking for any information on George Clark Sr- (Birth1754-Death1841)
The earliest ancestor in this line provided to this writer was George C. Clark Sr. who was born in 1754 in Antrim County, Ireland. He was first noted in America in the 1790 Federal Census as a resident of Georgetown District, S.C., so he had emigrated from Ireland to the United States before that date.
born in 1754 in Antrim County, Ireland, and died circa 1841 in Marion County, South Carolina.

  • There are very few records for Ireland in the 1700s. Without some idea of where in Antrim George lived, and what denomination he was, it’s unlikely that it will be possible to trace him from paper records. DNA testing might throw up a living descendant today though.
