I have been able to trace my family back to my great-greatgrandparents Michael Flynn (1830 - 1895 US) and Bridget Hayes (1831 - 1900 US). The dates are approximate. Family lore has the family emigrating from Lismore via Dungarvan; however, all the documents that I have found indicate the family had roots in Dungarvan. It appears as though the family were based around "Abbeyside."
Would love to discover more about earlier ancestors. Thank you.

I located the 1856 marriage record transcription on Roots Ireland. See below. Looks like they had eight children: Michael 1858 Patrick 1860 James 1862 John 1865 Thomas 1867 William 1869 William 1870 (presumably the 1869 William died) Alice 1872.
