Jane Elizabeth Rogers emigrated from Ireland to New Zealand. The first mention I can find of Jane in New Zealand is when she Christchurch Hospital on 13 Dec 1869 and it said she was 27 years old. I think there was an age discrepancy here as on the Marriage Certificate dated 25 Sep 1872 she was aged 26! The marriage was held at the Catholic Cathedral in Christchurch, NZ
She married Denis FITZGERALD who was from Ballymacelligot Co. Kerry, but we think they met in NZ
They had 10 children namely:

Jane lived with her husband and children in Loburn, North Canterbury until her husband's death when she moved to Rangiora, North Canterbury, New Zealand.
Jane died 22 Nov 1922 in Christchurch NZ and is buried with her husband at St Brigids RC Cemetery Loburn North Canterbury, New Zealand
