Researching COSGROVE and RADIGAN. Patrick G Cosgrove was born 17 March 1811. Ann Radigan was born 22 Oct 1808. They married in Elphin in 17 Feb 1833 by Fr J Tighne.
They had a son, Redmonds, born 10 Nov 1837 in Strokestown. Patrick immigrated to the US in 1840. I do not find anything else about their time in Ireland or Ann Radigan's parents.

I searched on Roots Ireland for baptismal records for Patrick and Ann but did not find a record. The marriage in 1833 was actually held in the Strokestown RC church which is the parish to the east and south of Elphin. Strokestown records start in 1830 so if Ann was from that parish, her baptismal record would not be available. I was unable to locate a baptismal record for Redmond. Do you have a church record for him?
You may want to consider autosomal DNA testing.

Unfortunately, we come from another line. Family lore is that he was a Ryan. It appears that he came to Patrick and Ann to work on the farm at the age of 10, Assuming he was an orphan. I have a male cousin and a brother do DNA. No hits on that line. Maybe some day.
