Tracking down street address in Skerries.

The street is shown on modern maps as 'The Hoar Rock' - see OSI map, spelling variations are quite common for placenames.  The same street is shown the c1900 OSI map but is not labelled.

Thom's 1912 shows the street as 'Hoar Rock' and includes several of the same names and trades as the 1911 'Hare Rock' census listing. The street is listed as Hore Rock on the 1901 returns, and on many of the 1911 census forms, form N & B1 etc, the street is also noted as 'Hore Rock' or 'The Hore Rock'.
 
Bear in mind that the numbers shown on the census pages are enumerator references rather than addresses. (In cities and larger towns they sometimes used street numbers as their reference number, but not for this street)

So if I wanted to see the house my grandfather was born in, and I have the PDF of the original forms, how do I decipher that?

It may not be possible to be certain where exactly the Mackin/Greaves household was located, the enumerators didn't use a specific route or note the sequence the followed - hopefully in this case the enumerator started at one end of the street and worked along. I checked a few Thom's Directories and up to at least the 1930s street numbers were not used on the street (just 3 streets in Skerries have street numbers in the 1930 listing). 

Based on the c1900 OSI map it looks like most of the buildings were on the south side of the street so possibly near this building at the eastern end, or this one at the westen end.  That one at the eastern end looks to line up pretty well with the current number 3... Many of the building on the street are modern, but the first couple at the eastern end look older.

No worries, it's great to find any details.  Yes, Josiah is my great-grandfather and Albert my grandfather.  I'm hoping to be in Dublin for the World Science Fiction convention in 2019, and to have some time to at least visit Skerries so I can say I've been there in person.
