Hello.
I have been working on my husband's side of the family history. I have confirmed His great-granparents as Mary Neilon and John Fahy. I was told by a cousin of his after speaking with his father, my husband's last living uncle, that John and Mary had immigrated from Cappamore Limerick Ireland in the 1890's. However this uncle also said Mary's last name was Sullivan and none of my documentation supports that name. I'm afraid some of the family history has become confused in his mind.
According to by husband's grandfather's birth certificate, they would have been born about 1863 (John) and 1870 (Mary). We are coming to Ireland in September and I was hoping to have that part of the puzzle nailed down before then.
Thank you so much for any assistance you may be able to give.

Hi Glenda,
My mother's paternal line comes from Cappamore. So I used IrishGenealogy.ie and RootsIreland to look for your John Fahy and Mary Neilon. No record of their marriage was forthcoming. I tried Mary Sullivan as well, but again there were no results. I couldn't find a birth record for John Fahy.
What I did find on RootsIreland was a Church Baptism Record showing a Mary Neilan born on 10 May 1868 in Dromalty, Cappamore Parish; her father's name was Thomas Neilan and her mother's Margaret Sexton. IrishGenealogy.ie had the Civil Record for Mary Nealon, whose birth was registered on 18 May 1868 in the townland of Towerhill, Registrar's District Murroe, County Limerick; her parents are shown as Thomas Nealon and Margaret Sexton.
Hope this helps.
