I found an 1851 Canada East Census - seems like several Dale families, there are 2 sets of John Dale & Elizabeth Dales, I believe the 2 & 3rd from bottom may be who you are looking for; John Dale, age 74 and Elizabeth age 80.

I found a family tree on ancestry that has:

Thomas Dale and wife (unknown)

Their son:

John Dale, born 30 June 1777 Londonderry, Derry, Ireland  died 19 June 1860 Shawville, Quebec, married Elizabeth Wilson born 1772, Ireland, died 16 Aug 1856 Shawville, Quebec

Their son:

Edward Dale, born about 1797, Ireland, died 29 Nov 1888, Pontiac, Quebec married Mary Lemman, born 1792 Down, Ireland, died 15 Mar, 1861 Pontiac, Quebec

Their son: which is where chart ends

Edward Dale born 15 Jan 1837 Pontiac, Quebec, died 22 Jan 1926 Shawville, Quebc, married Elizabeth Arnold, born 22 May 1841 in Newtowngore, Leitrim, Ireland, died 31 Oct 1918, Shawville, Quebec

Elizabeth Arnold's parents: Edward Arnold born 1784 Leitrim, Ireland, death unknown.  Frances Sherritt born 1798 Newtowngore, Leitrim, Ireland, died 1857
