I am looking for and descendants of or people who have any information on the family of John Liggett (1811 - 1869) and his wife Jane Barr (1820 - 1862) who farmed in Altanaveragh, (Killyfaddy or Fintona), Tyrone. All of their children except the eldest, James (1840 - 1874) and the youngest, Mary (b. 1860) emmigrated to the USA when their parents died. I have always wondered if Mary stayed in Ireland with her eldest brother and if there are still descendants of these people still alive.
I will be visiting Northern Ireland to visit ancestral land in Drumduff and Altanaverah Sep 22 and 23, 2018 and would love to meet with anyone who can help me prepare for a record search at PRONI on Sep 24 and 25, 2018.
