Lucinda CROZIER, b. Oct 15, 1788, Ireland. D. Feb. 4 1870, Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois, USA.  Married Martin GREER, Sr. b. 1783, probably Mullaghmore, Clogher, Tyrone, d. before 1834, Mullaghmore, Tyrone. 

Lucinda's parents unknown.  Martin GREER's parents, George GREER, b. abt 1755, Ireland, d. 1815, Mullagmore, Clogher, Tyrone.  Parents unknown.  Jane MARTIN, b. County Fermanagh, d. Ireland.  Parents unknown.  George GREER was a tenant farmer on the Montgomery Estates, Tyrone.  He signed a lease on the ground he was farming in 1792.  His son Martim GREER was listed after 1815 as a tenant farmer paying annual rent to Hugh MONTGOMERY until 1833. After the death of her husband, Martim, Lucinda CROZIER/GREER emigrated to America in about 1834 with her five surviving children.  They first went to upstate New York and then moved to Rushville, Schuyler County, in southern Illinois where a number of other Tyrone families had settled.  It is possible that Hugh MONTGOMERY may have aided in the move to make the land available to more prosperous tenant farmers.

Her five children were as follows:

Robert Lendrum GREER, b. July 11, 1827, Mullaghmore, Clogher, Tyrone.  Emigrated to America 1834.  D. Mar 13, 1910, Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois.  Married Jane Eliza McMASTER, (b. Nov. 12, 1832, Highland County, Ohio, d. Jan. 17, 1926, Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois) on July 20, 1854, Rushville, Illinois. 

George M. GREER, b. Jan 11, 1811, Mullaghmore, Tyrone, d. May 6, 1902, Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois.  Married Margaret SOMERVILLE, b. 1815, County Tyrone, d. Aug. 9, 1891, Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois

James L. GREER, b. May 15, 1816, Mullaghmore, Tyrone, d. Mar 4 1875, Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois.  Married Martha WILSON, b. Oct 15, 1818, Nelson County, Kentucky.  D. Jan. 5 1895, Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois.

Jane GREER, b. Jan. 20, 1818, Mullaghmore, Tyrone. D. Feb. 27 1865, Spokane, Washington.  Married Andrew STEVENSON, b. Aug 15 1806, Ireland, d. Nov. 20, 1865, Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois.

Richard GREER, b. Jun 15, 1821, Mullaghmore, Tyrone. D. Sept 15, 1868, Rushville, Schuyler, Illinois.  Married Martha L. NORVELL, b. Jun 27, 1819, Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky.

I have been to the farm at Mullaghmore Townland near Fivemiletown, Tyrone.  I've also been to PRONI (although I only had an afternoon there).  I was not able to find what church they belonged to.  They were Protestants.  Looking for any solid information on George GREER's (b. abt 1755), birth, parentage, etc. as well as the same for Jane MARTIN.. I have a great deal of information on the GREER family and descendants in America.

    My third great grandfather is Thomas Wilson born in abt. 1768 near Fivemiletown, County Tyrone, Ireland.  My records (maybe wrong) show he married a Jane Greer in 1801 in County Tyrone, Ireland. I believe Jane Greer is the daughter of George Greer and Jane Martin mentioned in your post above?  In some of the records I have found Thomas Wilson and Jane Greer had at least 7 children William b. 1809, d 1874 ( he is my great great grandfather), Thomas, Joseph, George, Jane, Robert and Martha.  Thomas Wilson's wife Jane Greer Wilson passed away in Liverpool, England as the family was emigrating to the USA. There's a biography for their son Thomas Wilson at https://schuyler.illinoisgenweb.org/bioscassschuyler/thomaswilsonbio.ht…; Based on the fact that Thomas Wilson ended up in the same town (Rushville, IL) as the folks you cite above I suspect these families aare connected?

    I have been to Enniskillen, Ireland but at the time didn't know about FiveMileTown or the Montgomery family and Mullaghmore.  I would appreciate any information you have on this family especially anything on Susan Eiler (Ihler) my great great grandmother (William Wilson's wife).  My father was raised by his grandmother Margaret Ellen Wilson Boeddeker the daughter of Susan Ehler and William Wilson.  My records show William Wilson's father Thomas lived with William and his wife Susan at Niota/Navuoo, Illinois where he died and is buried.  I have a tree on Ancestry KevinBrennan1 and attached a Ahnentafel file for my great grandmother.

    I haven't been able to find any information on George Greer b. Abt. 1755.
