I seek information please about the family of Patrick Gleason (1816-1898), a farmer from Limerick. His father also was from Limerick and also was named Patrick Gleason (1790-1875), and his mother was possibly named Mary Starr (1790-1873). I do not know if they had other children together besides Patrick. Both of Patrick’s parents died in Ireland. Patrick Gleason emigrated from Limerick to Burlington, Vermont, USA in about 1846 at about age 30 and two years later he married Bridget Kennedy (1823-1899) from Tipperary (Bridget left Ireland in about 1840). They had a farm together in South Burlington, Vermont, USA. Patrick and Bridget had many children, including my great grandfather William Henry Gleason (1861-1939). I would love to learn more information about Patrick, any relatives in Ireland, and about Patrick’s life in Ireland why he left. Thanks for your help. Mike O’Brien.
