Kiltannon House was the seat and the home of the Molony family who resided in Kiltannon from the 17th century until the 20th century.  This house was built in 1833 by James Molony also known as the Minor Molony.   The Molonys of Kiltannon were the largest landowners in the parish of Tulla and played a significant role in the parish throughout the 19th century where they employed a number of people in various industries associated with their holding at Kiltannon.
