My great grandparents James Redmond and Margaret Brown probably married about 1856 in Wexford. My grandfather Francis Redmond was born in 1866 in Coolook, Ballycanew, Gorey Co. Wexford and I have his birth record. They all moved to new Zealand in 1875.
I am trying to locate the marriage record for James and Margaret as their death records have not named their parents so I cannot progress without further information.
Thank you
Anne

Anne:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched on two subscription sites, Roots Ireland and Find My Past and did not locate the marriage record for James and Margaret. If they were RC then the church marriage record would not show the names of the parents of the bride and groom. If the marriage was non-RC then the marriage should have been civilly recorded and would show the names of the fathers of James and Margaret. As I indicated, I did not find a record.
You may want to add the emigration story of James and Margaret to our XO Chronicles site and possibly someone will see a connection https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
Have you considered DNA testing?

Hello Anne,
I too am descended from James and Margaret Burke in New Zealand. My great great grandmother was Mary Ann Redmond. Have you got any further with your research?

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for your query. As regards James Redmond and Margaret Brown the answer is no.
If you have any further information about Mary Ann Redmond's birth or place of residence in Wexford I would be very pleased to hear of it.
Thank you
