Elizabeth Ann Cain emigrated to the US in August 1849 on the Loodinah and family lore is that one sister died at sea and the other lost in NY city. There was an Anne, Mary on ship also 45 yrs Thomas and a Michael aboutt 29.
Thomas was a linen bleacher.
We have just found DNA info that is very solid that she is somehow related tot Michael Daly and Margaret Murphy B 1819 from Kiladysert, County Clare or possible Bridget Mc Mahan B 1820.
We have no knowledge of her parents names at all.
All we know is that she must be related to Michael Daly family, but her name is Cain and positive of her DOB July 24, 1827 and that they grew flax in Sodus, NY and she left a weaving loom handed down in the family, so she must have been a spinner?
