Thomas Connolly is my maternal great grandfather. I believe Thomas immigrated to the United States between 1868-1872.
I do not know the names of Thomas' parents, nor do I know if he had any siblings.
I have one document from my maternal grandfather's military file, that indicates Thomas may have been from Clifden, Ireland. This is the sole clue I have that potentially links Thomas to Ireland.

I too have connollys from clifden ancestors who moved to australia as follows: maternal, grandfather william michael 1876-1948 birth death australia, His father john bourne 1839-1897 emmigrated posssibly around 1859. was a gold prospecter for a time. buried Rookwood cemetery nsw.
