Thomas's 1850 marriage gives his address at Ballytober, Islandmagee. Assuming the family came from Islandmagee and were Presbyterian, there are 2 churches there. Neither has any records for 1820. The earliest is Islandmagee 1st whose records start in 1829. So if Samuel was born there c 1820 and left Ireland still a single man, there prrbably isn't any documentary record of him to find. There are no censuses for the years he lived in Ireland.
I looked in the tithes for Islandmagee parish but did not see any McKee farm there c 1830, nor was there a McKee farm in Ballytober in Griffiths VAluation c 1860.
Islandmagee 1st's record might contain details of Thomas & Samuel's siblings if born after 1829. There's a copy of those records in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. They are not on-line so a personal visit is required to view them.

THANK YOU for the information. I visited Ireland for a couple of day about 5 years ago...looks like another visit is due.
THANK YOU, again,
