  • I'm wondering if John born 1845 (circa), Mary b1847 and Partick b 1849 could have Ann b 1841 or 1846 as another sibling?

Ann married Philip Smith - don't know where but their Dundee census entries have them born in Ireland. Ann and Philip had at least 5 children, one of whom - Johanna b 1876 - is my greatgrandmother. Johanna married James Orton Webster in Dundee.

    Cheers

  • Hi JudithE - thanks for getting in touch.  Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any connection according to Ann/Philip's marriage cert.  Her parents were John Dwyer (Dwire) & Catherine Cleary. His were Bernard Smith & Bridget Reilly (deceased) Witnesses - John Rourke & Bridget Cleary

I'd just written a very long reply giving full details of Ann/Philip marriage & their death details and lost it all by accidentally clicking the 'sign in' button instead of 'post comment'.   Soooooo annoying! So this is just brief  details

Ann died in 1901 & Philip in 1899   Both age 58 yrs (I haven't got their certificates - just Ref. Details)  There's also a death for a Johanna Smith (mothers maiden name Dwyer) who died 2006 age 96yrs who may be connected?

Unfortunately I have to be elsewhere now so don't have time to rewrite everything but if you recognise any of it (you may have the details already?) let me know
