Margaret McCavana(sp) was my great-great grandmother who came from Ireland as a young girl in the late 1800's. Was a teacher in Chicago. I have a photo of her at 15-16 years old from photographer in Belfast. Apparently some from her family may have migrated to Australia?

DebYager,
McCavana (and it’s variant spellings) is a common surname in the Belfast area. You would need to give us a bit more information in order to be able to trace this lady. Firstly, when was she born? Also we really need her parents names from a marriage or death certificate, or naturalisation papers otherwise you’ll never be certain you have the correct Margaret.
If she came as a young girl, then she was probably travelling with someone else – a relative perhaps? Have you found her migration record?
