Looking for more information on the Keenan family (could be spelt differently ie Keenan, Kiernan, Keenahan). Thomas Keenan born Ballinasloe between 1860 and 1864 my great grandfather. He appeared on the English 1881 cencus in St Helens, Lancashire aged 21 with mother Margaret a widow, siblings Michael aged 15 and Margaret aged 9. On their marriage certificates their father named as John Keenan deceased. Don’t know mothers maiden name. Can’t find parish records or civil records for any of them in Ireland. Thomas’s sister Margaret married in England to Michael Mannion had 2 0f her children there the returned to Ireland in 1890s. On Irish cencus she states she was born in Roscommon but can’t find her birth. They were catholic’s.
