Mary:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and found the 1849 marriage record and baptismal/birth records for eight children. Some of the years of birth were different from your message. Also, complicating the search was that most of the reocrds Owen was shown as Eugene which is an alternate name. Mary died in 1885 and Owen/Eugene in 1890. See links at the bottom

Hello Roger,
Thank you so much for your work on my behalf. I started doing genealogy in the early 1980s. It took me until this year to confirm that my Monaghan/Scally ancestors were from County Roscommon and the breakthrough came through DNA testing. My mother's ancestors are 100% Irish and my father's 75%. On my DNA tests I use the screen name Mostly Irish. I can't put into words how wonderful it feels to have the names and places of your ancestors and to feel rooted. They suffered terribly and sacrificed much because of the Great Hunger. My hunger is an emotional one. I visted Ireland in 2011 which was before I had any information about what counties they were from. I hope to be able to go back and walk the ground where they lived.
I have been able to find many records for the descendants of Owen Monaghan and Mary Scally that came to the New York City area and would be glad to share those. It's been harder to find records for their daughters Ann, Bridget and Catherine that stayed in Ireland and their son Michael.
Again, thank you for your help,
Sincerely,
Mary
