Hello!
I am searching for a possible connection from Roscommon. My name is Joe Monahan and I live in the Chicago area. I am trying to find out any information about my ancestors. My ggg grandfather was James Eugene Owen Monahan. He was born approximately 1815 in Roscommon and emmigrated to Canada. His first wife was Jane Donville. They had a daughter, Mary. But Jane died after a couple years and he remarried Mary A Smith. They had a son, James Eugene Owen around 1838 in Canada. They also had a daughter Rose Anne. The children moved to Lapeer, Michigan. Owen Sr. died in Canada around 1842/3. Any help would be appreciated.

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and there were no James or Owen or Eugene Monahan/Monaghan baptismal records in Co. Roscommon around 1815. Only three RC parishes have records back to the 1815 time period so likely your ancestor was baptized in a parish that no longer has records back to 1815.
