I hope that someone can explain to me why Catholic children would be placed into a Protestant Orphanage in Limerick....and another source mentions a Model School. Can someone help to steer me in the right direction to find records of this time period, the schools and the conditions of these institutions? Also a widowed mother of three wouldnt be forced to give the children to the homes would she?

Hi,
You should contact the Manager at Villiers Schools and Orphanages, Limerick info@villiers-school.com who may be of assistance in directing you to the proper source and the Representative Church Body, Churchtown, Couty Dublin email library@ireland.anglican.ie who may have records.
Your relatives may have been placed in the orphanage by order of the Courts, due to poverty.

McCoy
