"IRISH NUNS IN AFRICA"
On June 29th at the Dominican Convent at Salisbury, Rhodesia, South Africa, Miss Katie Duffy - daughter of Mr James Duffy of Feravella, Carbury was received into the order of St. Dominic and given the name of Sister M Bridget. Miss Duffy, with four other girls who have also been received into the Order, left Ireland last October for the "Dark Continent" to join the Dominican Nuns in the great work in which they are engaged, endeavouring to gather the straying sheep into the fold. Miss Duffy has been changed to Bulawayo since her reception.

I just watched this moving video. I was brought to tears to realise the immense suffering of these dear people in my own lifetime.
I don't remember the news in Australia ever explaining the dreadful cruelty to people victimised by apartide.
I have Sudanese and Burundian friends. They are lovely people.
Thankyou for this video.
