Bridget was born in Briarfield, Co Roscommon and emigrated to the US to join the care of sister Helen at the age of 15 and worked as a domestic and nanny in Newport, RI. She met and married Martin Headd, of Co Galway, in Providence and they had a number of children, one of whom was my mom. She has no surviving siblings, to my knowledge, at this time.
