Edited Again! I feel like this is the real deal! Patrick Quinlan is my 2cnd Great Grandfather. He was born in the Co Cork. One record references Mallow. He was born March 17th 1838. He arrived in America in 1856 while still 17. In America he married Margaret Whelahan. He served in the voluteer Army until 1865 when he petitioned for American citizenship. Can anyone help me find his family in Cork? Thank you!

This is the only Patrick Quinlan I can find on ancestry.com born January 1837. Father is Michael and mother is Catherine. Will check US census records for you. Hope this helps.
