Hello all I just ran into a new potential family member goes by the name of Thomas (but spelled Thos) Coyne born circa 1778 in Navan county Meath and passed 1873 in Clifden county Galway. Just curious if anyone has any additional information about Thomas and his family in Navan?

The Navan RC baptismal records start in 1782 and they are available on the subscription site Roots Ireland. I did a search but did not find a record for a Thomas Coyne in Navan in the 1700s.
I searched the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie for the 1873 death record for Thomas Coyne in the Clifden area with no success. I did find a record in 1878. See link.

In the mid-19th century, the majority of Coynes were in Co. Galway and Co. Mayo particularly in the western part of both counties. You will not findi any church records for those areas of Galway and Mayo in the 1700s. What info do you have related to the 1778 Thomas Coyne in Navan?
