Andrew Lindsay Sr. (born ~ 1780-before 1850) of Killoran Parish is my gg grandfather. His son, Andrew Jr. (1827-1897) my great grandfather. I know little about Sr. other than he farmed in Carrownacleigha townland, and had at least 6 children with his wife Catherine. His son Andrew, possibly the youngest, left Sligo in 1867 with his wife Anne Payne and five young children, living first in New York state for 3-4 years, and finally settling in Dufferin County, Ontario.

Hi Ray. Thank You for the information. I had Andrew and Catherine as Andrews parents on Ancestry, however I took it off, because of the age gap. I wonder how old Catherine would have been when she had Andrew. It's been difficult to find information. I'm still trying to find out how Andrew Sr. and Willam 1794 to 1891 are related. I'm wondering if they were cousins.
