Theophilus Pit was born Circa1795 but his place of birth is unknown.
On the 4th June 1816 Thomas married Alicia McDonach at St Andrew's, Dublin City
Their 5 children Eleanor, Maria, Catherine, Thomas & Margaret were all christened in Dublin
In 1827 the family boarded the "Greenock" at Leith and made the journey to Australia as Steerage passengers, arriving in Hobart Town on15th Jan 1828.
In 1828 Theophilus became the Licensee of the St Patrick Inn a hotel which was situated on Harrington Street in Hobart town.
Unfortunately, Theophilus died the next year, when the children were still young.
