Searching for 2x great grandfather.

Walter Dowdle was born in 1813 Ireland. From Dublin parish records we know that he was baptized 07/20/1814. Parents names are Laurce and Jane Russel. Walter arrived in New York USA  06/09/1840 at the age of 26.

We are trying to locate information on his parents and ancestors. I've searched the parish records that are online and have hit a brick wall.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

  • Are you by any chance the granddaughter of Leroy Dowdle, son of Samuel? My family comes from LeRoy’s brother, Walter (my Great Grandfather). We visited the High Street cemetery in Painted Post last year. The Walter Dowdle you posted about is my 3x Great Grandfather. We haven’t been able to find anything on Walter’s family in Dublin either.
