Daniel C.O'Connell was son of Charles O'Connell and Kate O Connell was born in Jan 6th 1842.
He was J.P. for Co.Kerry and Co.Wicklow and High Sheriff for Kerry in 1915. He was grandson of Daniel
The Liberator through his mother Kate. He was educated at Carlow College and was agent for Bank of Ireland
Mallow for most of his life. He married Helen McKenna on Jan31st 1877 in London and had 3 sons and 3 daughters. He inherited
Ballynabloun from his father as well as Derriana, Waterville where he built a bungalow for his retirement and he and his family were there
for the 1911 Census. Later he moved to England with his daughter and he died there in 1925 at the age of 83. His remains were brought
home and he is buried in the O'Connell Family Tomb in the old Glen Cemetery.
