Christopher Powers HIGGINS, son of Mary and Christopher HIGGINS, was born in Ireland on March 16, 1830. He emigrated to the United States in 1848.
He joined the army and later became a Captain.
Higgins married Julia/Juliet P. Grant and they had the following nine children:
Frank G.; John R.; George C.; Maurice G.; Arthur E.; Helen; Hilda; Ronald; and Gerald Higgins
C. P. Higgins was the founder of Missoula, Montana, USA in 1862.
He died on October 14, 1889 after a fall.
He was buried in the Missoula, Montana Cemetery.
