born to Thomas C. And Mary Noonan O'Malley. Military records state Patrick was born on Co. Clare/Co. Galway. Border changes are believed to be reason for discrepancy. Believe Thomas brought his young family to Mountshannon to help build catholic church. Family might have lived in Tipperary prior to move to Mountshannon. Possibly Shinrone area. Mountshannon's church records do not cover 1839 but Families faith being very strong baptism might have occured close. Have been unable to locate.
