Mary Ann arrived in South Australia, per Elgin in 1849 as an orphan from possibly Fermoy workhouse. Her brothers (not proven) James, Henry and Patrick Ryan were from Mitchelstown also emigrated soon after. She married William Haythorpe b Norfolk convict from Tasmania in 1855.
