Looking for information on Michael James Syron born around Castlebar circa 1877 to Dominick and Ellen (Gallagher) Syron. Dominick was likely the son of Michael and Ellen (Cleary) Syron. Ellen was likely the daughter of Peter and Bridget (McGlade) Gallagher. Michael's siblings were Mary (1875), Bea (circa 1878), Nellie (1884), and Joseph Daniel (1886).

I found the civil marriage record for Dominick Syron and Ellen Gallagher. Also located a number of civil birth records but did not find a record for Joseph Daniel. I did not find a baptismal record for Dominick Syron but found a September 2 1845 baptismal record in Crossmolina for an Ellen Gallagher father Peter Gallagher and mother Bridget Harrison.
I did not find the family in Derrymartin in the 1901 census although there were other Syron/Syren families

Michael James Syron was my paternal great-grandfather and his son, Joseph Thomas, was my paternal grandfather.
Michael's birth was listed as 1879 on his memorial, however, other records (like the ones you provided) indicate that he was born in 1877. Likewise, his mother, Ellen (Gallagher), is listed as having been born in 1863 (according to her memorial), but that conflicts with the 1871 marriage record (and the birth records for her older children), which makes records of her birth in 1855 more plausible. His father, Dominick, has been more difficult to identify, with his birth listed as somewhere between 1835 and 1846. It is my understanding that there are often similar names and surnames from that area and time period, making it even more confusing.
