I know very little of Daniel Ready. Only that he had a daughter called Catherine date of birth between 1827 and 1831 (my great great grandmother) who went to England and married John Mcglinn in 1851 in Blackburn Lancashire. They had a daughter Mary (my great grandmother) She married Joseph Round and had a daughter called Laura ( my grandmother), a son Wilfred and a son Fred. They lived in Rotherham Yorkshire. Laura married John Thomas Spittlehouse and had two children. Mary who died in 1911 and my mother Kathleen who was born 19th December 1915. Laura's husband died in 1917 after serving in WW1. My mother up until 1921/22 was with her mother, but we believe that she was given up and and placed in one of the Scattered Homes. In 1922 she was taken by her guardians where she stayed until she married my father in 1938. My mum never knew any of her family. My hope is that I can find the last page of her story. And where her journey began.
